Milt Kahl Day

This is one of my favorite shots by Milt.  It's a shot from Mary Poppins of the fox hunting sequence.
The way Milt animated this horse is incredible.  He knew enough the mechanics of movement of a real horse in order to caricature it so great and still believable.

Thanks for sharing this treasure Mr.Cleuzo.
Since you have been animating Sharif on the horse on HATR, my question is what do you animate first horse and then add the rider or vice versa?
    Thanks in advance:)

  2. Amir,

I would start with the horse's animation first and then add the rider.
I suspect Milt did both at the same time.
