This is one of my favorites animated shorts. I love the whole thing, concept, designs, animation, lighting, etc.
I am honored to have met one of the creators and director of this short, Tim Watts, who's one of the animators on the show I am working at the moment here at Dreamworks.
It was animated twice, one in hand drawn and the final in stop motion which you can see below.
I am sure you will enjoy this as much as I did. It is brilliant.
Oh wow - this is awesome! I am honored to be working with both Tim and yourself Sandro at DreamWorks and its so cool to see Tim's short film. His animation has been blowing me away every day.
I remember seeing both versions many years ago and thought it was pretty interesting how well they could translate the traditional hand-drawn figures to stop motion puppets. They did a fine job on these and for sometime later I kept thinking these guys went on to create the Lipton Brisk Iced Tea commercials but I see I was wrong anyway, but the similarities was pretty close.
Oh man that is awesome! Thanks for sharing this.
ReplyDeleteThis is actually pretty cool. Thanks for this.
